Returns and refunds
Draft for the store owner to review with their own adviser. This page explains the intended process and marks anything that is not yet confirmed. It is not legal advice.
Prepared as a draft on 11 October 2026. The published process must match what you tell Google Merchant Center.
Changing your mind
For many goods bought at a distance in the United Kingdom, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give a short cancellation period, often 14 days after the goods are received. Exceptions can apply, including some sealed goods unsealed for hygiene reasons. The owner must confirm how this applies to each product and must not rely on this paragraph as advice.
Return window
Setup required. Set RETURN_WINDOW_DAYS only after you have decided the window you will honour.
Return address
Setup required. No returns address is published. Do not invent one. Set RETURN_ADDRESS when you have a real address.
Return postage
Setup required. It is not confirmed who pays return postage. Set RETURN_CUSTOMER_PAYS_POSTAGE to yes or no only when that is the real rule. Faulty or misdescribed goods may need different treatment.
Refunds
When a refund is due and the payment was taken by card through Stripe, the intention is to refund that payment. The number of days this will take has not been confirmed, so no refund timing is promised here. Checkout is not open until the owner finishes setup, so there are no live orders yet.
Faulty or not as described
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 sets out rights for consumers in the United Kingdom when goods are not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described. This is general public information, not a statement of how a particular claim will be decided. Contact the shop with the order details once a contact method is published.
How to ask
Setup required. No customer email is published yet, so a returns request cannot be sent through this website.
